Nice deal. Seems funny getting a free motherboard with 16GB of RAM but here we are.

Seems decent to get into AM5. I was curious about the timings, maybe others are too:
DDR5 6000 (PC5 48000)
Timing 38-38-38-78
CAS Latency CL38
Voltage 1.25V

I have this mobo (with 32GB of DDR5). No problems with it, so far, and there are tons of options in the BIOS for the tweakers out there.

If you can get a decent upgrade now to tide you over until prices return to normal (and who knows how long that could take), then I think you should do it. Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Big problem here is that it looks like there are only 2 memory slots and the RAM in this deal is 2X8GB. Means if you wanted to upgrade to 32GB later you have to buy the whole 32GB and not add on to what you have.

Otherwise, solid deal.

Feels bad to get a 16 GB kit since it used to be like a $20 premium for way more ram but most people can get away with 2x 8 GB rather than doing 2x 16 GB: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bj5v52R4qnk
A lot of the people being upset at this being 16 GB (me included) are part of the crowd that was able to get 32 GB for a very small premium so it's always been silly to get 16 GB. Nowadays, that premium is much higher so this kit isn't bad at all imo.
This motherboard also has 4 slots so you can populate all 4 slots with 8 gb modules if you really want to.
