TPM or not, I don't believe that CPU is officially supported by Windows 11. That's not to say you can't shoehorn it onto such a system.
The only thing it doesn't support is HVCI, but even then Windows accounts for this by emulating it on any system that has virtualization disabled, which is every stock AM4 system I've owned.

True but also anyone who has wanted this build has had nearly 10 years to do it.

Yeah some people are building PCs for the first time but they're the vast minority.

Overall PC gaming is still a very cheap hobby. If you look at the Steam hardware stats only about 13% have a 4070 or better.

The truth is you don't need 4k OLED paired with a 5090 and 9800x3d to enjoy gaming as a hobby.

Shit I've had the most fun in the last ten years playing indies on a handheld.
or, hear me out, you have a system with a motherboard that is failing slowly like mine is, the audio out has died and it has begun sending error messages out on restarts. Its an AM4 system with a decent processor and 64gb of DDR4 in it. Just need a mobo, this way I buy the board, sell the ram because I do not have room for it anyway and get a repaired system for free

Remember the lies about covid mask shortage? This could be similar. I doiubt that no fourth company will enter market to capture the lucrative market for the next two years. At most this will last for a year. Most likely it will end sooner.
Yeah cuz making electronics is just as easy as making masks. I remember how long gpu prices took to return after covid

So you're saying you are not a fan of paying more $ for everything so tech bros can build data centers in your back yard on your (taxpayer) dime who's ultimate goal is to put you out of a job?

So keep the ram, flip the board, then flip the ram?

I just built a PC with this exact combo with a ryzen 5800xt and an Arc b580. Solid little rig for some decent 1440p gaming. I am absolutely kicking myself for waiting so damn long to upgrade my old AM3 system. It still worked quite well and I couldn't justify a new build. Oh well. I'll run this little rig until the next tech-pocalypse happens.

I'm looking for an AM4 board with a 2gb or faster ethernet port. I'm capped at 1gb on my ethernet and got fiber 2.5 so I would really like to go faster and this one is also only 1gb

Would this still have been considered a deal before the ram prices went up?
No, it wouldn't. Welcome to 2026.

you can always get an expansion card with 2.5+

I just bought this exact motherboard bundled with 16GB of RAM on a Cyber Monday deal. I wouldn't mind having a spare in case something happens with this one. Now I want to check my order history to see if I got a good deal.
Update: I paid $189.98 for this mobo and 16GB (2 x 8GB) of PC3200. Damn. This is only $40 more for double the RAM and with 16GB modules. The exact RAM I got is now $127. I wish I could have waited.

Don't worry guys I'll start producing ram myself
I actually read an article posted to Reddit about a guy who started doing just that, sourcing the chips from spare parts or something like that.

I second what @multiuseemail said. Just get an expansion card. Should be cheaper than a motherboard and much easier to install.
