I've not ever experienced that before with Newegg. I just bought this a few hours ago and redeemed no problem and I also bought a 12-month game pass essentials yesterday for my son and that worked without a hitch.

This is a six month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate code deal that works out to about $16 a month, with the purchase made up of two three month codes. The codes are reported to come directly from Microsoft and can extend an existing Ultimate membership, with redemption working for some accounts and even stacking both codes successfully. The main caveats are region mismatches and occasional redemption problems, including already redeemed or used codes. It is most compelling for players who will actually use the library, cloud gaming, and launch access enough to offset the subscription cost.

While the limit is less than this, the 3x PC game pass is cheaper. $88 and converts to roughly 6mo of GPU

Just purchased and the first code worked and the second code said already redeemed. Now I have to deal with the newegg support team to remedy the situation.

Haven't used my Xbox Series X in close to a year. Xbox peaked with the 360. It's been all downhill ever since.
I love to see them make a comeback, but I doubt that'll happen.

Game Pass Ultimate is really only worth it if you play more than 2 or 3 games single player games a year, or are on the COD cycle. Most people are just playing F2P anyway.

Thanks for coming to my mini Ted talk.
I get my $11 worth for GPU just playing with friends, let alone access to AAA and tons of Indie games at launch, with EA and now Ubisoft titles included. Yes, Game Pass Ultimate is not for non-gamers, that's why they have tiers. Yes, if you play 1-2 games a year (SP or MP), definitely don't sub to the highest tier gaming service that has access to hundreds. woot GPU is directed towards moderate to heavy gamers.

Building a Windows PC is a hefty big upfront cost if you want actual hardware, with little optimization usually. You still have to buy the games, which are going up. $70+ for one AAA game sounds intense. Suggesting to wait upwards of a year+ for a sale sounds rough. EEK!

Sorry to hear that, Newegg is definitely no better than any of the grey market websites that sell legit keys that you receive instantly. They are are still selling them for about $11/month non-stacking. I have no issue getting those every month for that.

I'm curious to what you guys actually play? Sony releases 1 game every 5-8 years... so hopefully not a remaster of a remaster of an uncharted clone?

I only got an ultimate subscription so that I can cloud game and for the XBOX Game Pass. If you game on a PC some of the games are also available to download onto a gaming rig or a Windows based handheld (Legion Go, ROG Ally, etc). I haven't played some of the games that are on Game Pass so it was worth it for me. I do miss the old days of cheap subscriptions but thanks OP!

As someone who plays on both PC and my Xbox I've loved this service, it's helped me play a lot of games I wouldn't have otherwise wanted to pay for just to try them. I probably try a game and don't play it for every game I decide to play. I've had this for 5ish years for 300 bucks in total. I wonder what my roi has been lol

I just sold my Series X, and used $125 of it to buy buy a tiny mini-PC that emulates everything up to PS2 and XBOX pretty much without issue and a quality controller. I've now got thousands of complete games that don't require me to buy DLC, BS subscriptions like Game Pass, or replacement controllers as they make those like garbage now too.
Console gaming is such a garbage money-grab now.
Wow. This level of cope is rough.

Isn't there a way to share a game pass ultimate subscription? For the occasional use, it's getting harder to justify. Wish I could pause it whenever I'm not using.

Personally I'd sell it locally on FB. Meet up in person.

How's that work? Do you need to download something or it's a whole console like PC only?
