Well, I guess eventually we had to see a 5080 system over $2k with...16GB of ram. Not a terrible deal, just a sign of the times.

ah, I was wrong. 32 GB...and 16 on the card. solid deal I think.

It's 32 GB. 16 gb is the video card if you read the title.
Not a bad deal, but microcenter has new 9800x3D computer for 200 more if you live near one

Is this a good deal? Seems to be powerful right, 32 GB ram and 5080? Anything I'm missing here?

For $2k I would've expected it to have at least the Ultra 9.

Will the CPU included run games in 1440P just fine? Or will the 7 hold it back? Sorry for all the questions here, I'm very new to this.

Sadly yes, I did say 200 off my memory but opening the link revealed to me the reality. In any case, I much rather pay 2500 for a 9800x3d than 2200 for any current Intel offering. Intel is miles away from AMD except for video editing

Anything over 1080p, the GPU will be doing the heavy lifting. Do you have a GPU capable of 1440p?

Thanks for the clarification on that. I'd be buying this build so it sounds like a 5080 + this processor would work for 1440P

When you say AMD is miles away, what are you referring to? All modern cpus are powerful enough to do most tasks. AMD's main advantage over Intel is in 1080p gaming. But I don't expect anyone spending top dollar on a high-end cpu to be gaming in 1080p.

With a 5080, I doubt there will be any game you can't run at max settings in 1440p.
