I'd be dubious about buying "refurbished" units of this model.

They will not change this behavior.
The user is using opensource Home Assistant software to create an invalid/non-sensical setting on the River 3 Plus:

If you are setting min SoC and reserve at the same value you are making an invalid setting.
The user is trying to set the charge limit (how much the battery should be charged ) to be the same as the discharge limit (how low the battery should drained before it shuts off).
The River 3 Plus does not actually allow this setting, but the open source Home Assistant being used to set this invalid configuration does (incorrectly) allow it.
The problem is, if charge limit and discharge limit are the same, it's not defined whether charge limit or discharge limit should be used. They must be set to different values to be able to prioritize them unambiguously.
