It says batteries last six months but in actual use, I'm assuming half that for most of us.

One star reviews should be reviewed before buying.

Looks like more Chinese junk that will likely lack proper security protocols.

Yikes, stay far away from no-name security products if you value any sort of privacy or security.

Deep discount. I wonder how easy it is to Google an exploit.

It's not been any sort of secret for over a decade now that cyber security professionals advocate the use of keys. This will deter a random crackhead and no one else.

Yeah but to be realistic, that's basically the only type of people who might try and break in. I think everybody should have whatever security stuff makes them feel safe but it's still worth pointing out that there's a massive security tech industry based around making you believe there are tech savvy master career criminals scoping your house. It's nearly always a drug addict looking to snatch an xbox real quick.

Thought the same. Looking at the product page i'm seeing that remote unlock / camera (so all the wifi stuff) doesn't activate until the physical doorbell button on the device is pressed. So that's a pretty solid energy saving design in general. Got a STRONG feeling that also means it can't remote LOCK - like hey i left the house, did I remember to lock it and if not do it - because that wifi connection isn't constant. Looking at info on the amazon page, I'm not seeing remote LOCK mentioned which kind of corroborates that theory. Would be curious if it wakes up periodically to ping some random cloud server to relay status and perhaps pickup a queued lock command. Other thought would be a decent delay on button press actually getting it to notify / enable camera / etc.. due to being offline.

I mean the pic even has a window in the door so it's obviously not meant for serious security
