I'm expecting things like solar, energy storage, etc to hopefully come down in price since the 30% tax credit is now gone. I know this is just a 12v 100ah, but it can be part of a bigger system.. Seems like a decent price. Hopefully the expansion batteries will start to drop as well..

Its an alright deal for 100Ah at $1.29/Ah. This says its BMS does low temp cutoff, which would make this OK for uninsulated/exposed to winter use... but with Sodium batteries coming soon with wider temp ranges and (allegedly) cheaper prices, I wonder if it makes sense to wait.

As of right now, Sodium batteries are less energy dense than LiFepo4, which are already less dense than Li-ION like NCA and NMC which mean larger overall size & weight for same capacity, which isn't exactly something you want for a portable battery. The chemistry has promise, and Bluetti already released a Sodium Ion Battery Station to the market but me thinks it's still a couple years out before the chemistry/tech is refined enough to compete with what we have now, which for the most part is already very good. At this time, you're going to pay much more per Wh for sodium than LiFePo4 and the temp performance is good, but there are other areas it's not so good, particularly Price per Wh and energy density and thier Lifespan or cycle count is better than Li-Ion but less than LiFePo4. Heres a link to a pretty thorough review of Bluettis Sodium Power Station. Oh, and the price of this unit on Bluettis official website is 900 bucks for a 900Wh unit, so 1 dollar per Wh which is very expesive especially considering you can find LiFePo4 units for as low as .20 cents at times and quite regularly around the .30 cents per Wh mark.

Depends where you are and what your definition of 'winter use' is. If you try an exposed/uninsulated LFP battery setup anywhere the temp stays below freezing for extended periods of time, you're going to have a bad time because you'll never be able to recharge.

I'd wager this is a good battery for the money though. Many of the other cheaper batteries people suggest won't have UL & other certifications, and aren't coming from manufacturers as reputable/established as Ecoflow.
This also has a 5 year warranty, whereas with most cheaper options your 'warranty' support is likely going to be limited to returning within whatever short return window wherever you buy it from offers.

Edit: I guess this is dead now anyway
