cute but seems like a high price for pasta, does this shape matter?

No. Just a holiday item for an inflated price and now Amazon is stuck with cases of these. Just a stupid idea to think many would pay so much for pasta. Over $4 list price for a pound of Barila pasta? Even at the current price, most of us have enough Pasta from Amazon to last us through the summer...just wait for the next shaped pasta to be sold for $1 a pound (holidays are gone so why pay even $1.75 for 12 ounces even if you wanted the design/shape,?).

Maybe you can prank the kids and tell them it's Honeycomb Cereal.

My kids liked the "spiderweb" pasta.

I bought a few boxes of this on sale at Kroger a month back and these are kind of terrible. Regardless of how long you boil it the pasta has uncooked hard spots even if you cook to the point that the outer ridges are falling apart. Just not a great eating experience.
