Bought this the last time it was on sale and have been really impressed. It's the best magsafe mount I own. Stays locked on to my desk and the magnets are really strong for holding onto the phone. If anything the sticky pad + suction mount is too strong and it's annoying to remove. It's good if you're just permanently putting it one place but not great if you think you'll be detaching it and putting it in other places often.

I don't have this particular mount but I had another that had a suction cup with sticky stuff to help hold it. After 1 summer in the sun, all the sticky stuff had come off the mount and was on windshield. PITA to clean off. I would think having to clean it off the dash or other surface would be even worse but maybe mounting it on a surface facing away from the sun might help it stay on the suction cup
