There is microplastics too, but no more than the various other plastic gimmick devices most people have in their kitchen... or the food we eat... or the water we drink...
Print it with a more durable filament (PETG/ASA) and give the inside a spray with some food-grade polyurethane if you're worried about that sort of thing.
