If you make under 84k a year, you can file your taxes for free. Just google IRS free file, there will be a page on the IRS website that will show you available free file partners.

Folks that use Fidelity should check their accounts, Fidelity released their annual free TurboTax offer to select accounts yesterday

Typically only large and/or active accounts get the free TurboTax offer but its worth checking if you have a Fidelity account

You have to check your Fidelity account using the link I provided.

Depending on your account you should either have an offer for discounted TurboTax or free TurboTax Online.

If you have the free TT Online offer you can purchase the desktop version for $5 instead. If you don't have the free TT offer in your Fidelity account then the $5 option is not available for you - its targeted.

I have a small account on Fidelity. It was only 25% off but somehow cheaper than this.
