Also, because they are so thin, the hub is usually a bit warped and more oval shaped than round. Making it a pain to load and unload from the barbell.
Almost better to get 15s (or maybe 25s) and larger in bumpers. Then just get small 5 and 10 pound iron weights to add to the ends for small incremental needs.
I can see maybe getting a pair of 10s, but 6 of them?

go from 225 to 285 for example. Basic iron plates would be just fine as well but they are priced at $15 each
