Snagged one too. I've been watching at Lowes for an sheltered outdoor fan but they were staying around $100

But to clear, it can be used outside, under a covered structure. Not meant to get rained on directly, like hanging from a screened pool enclosure.

Very tempted on this as a potential replacement. I'm eight and a half years into the Lowe's fan. It is exposed on an open pergola- outdoors in the rain and snow. I've sprayed it with some Krylon to touch up the fading-- but my only concern is the cord may be deteriorating from the UV.
