One day, when it goes all digital and the internet goes down for like a month or the publisher takes away the movie/game, maybe then they'll realize it

Like if you can't hack into the card and see the physical files on your desktop is it that big of a deal for you. Even then most games on disc or any other medium have a patch you need to download.
Shits just getting old. gonna eventually turn into then HDMI meme

But don't worry, the trial lawyers will send you a $5 gift card, and tell you if you pirate the game you already own - you'll risk bankruptcy and/or jail.
So, it matters. It's not about the money, it's about sending a message.

Reality is, we need to get Zoomers and Alphas to work with us on fixing these broken laws and policies.
Folio may have 1TB discs to sell this decade for consumers. I'm afraid few will buy.

Like I've heard this argument for digital content for over a decade and it's ALWAYS available down the road for free with minimal effort. It's one of the reasons DRM kinda of went and left. They just care about protecting it while it's for sale (not that DRM won't be cracked eventually anyway).
Like in a perfect world would it all be physically owned by me. And would updates install to the cart and not device so I own it forever. Sure.

Every game also requires day one downloads, so they're not getting the full working game if the servers shut down anyway.
