Gasoline engines are the loudest at full rated RPM; inverter generators generally are quieter because they slow engine speed at lower loads. The db rating you see is at max load and RPM, which will be virtually the same for inverter and conventional generators.

Junk, cheap, tested far below specs

So it says you can return but then when you try it says you can't, I'll let the credit card companies fight that out this things is so cheap, it's a joke. Days it can do over 3000 watts but I can check with a meter and it starts surging at 500 watts and shuts off the motor at 1100 watts. This company thinks there little bait and switch will work, I'm an administrator on the biggest RV and boondocker site and this thing is getting a lively review for all 80k members, they'll never sell another one to rvers.
