I ordered the "Soundwave Grey" colorway when this first went on sale, but ended up returning it. The grey has a very pink hue to it and does not really look like the picture advertised. Just a heads up

One of the brands I attach to my identity. This is a bit of a low end bag by the looks of it. But you just can't go wrong wit Osprey

I've felt the same way about that soundwave grey on other models. Plus, the other fabric types' colors on those grey backpacks didn't seem to all match.

Agreed on the color, hard to argue that it is grey. It's a very nice backpack, though. Replacing my old targus.

The pinkish hue would definitely be a selling point to George Costanza

I'd like to see what high end looks like if this is low end. I bought this one in black several months ago because it has 2 padded sleeves that don't reach the bottom of the bag so my MacBook and iPad are protected. This is an excellent bag and looks very sleek as well.

Link to Firestarter orange seems to point to black. Maybe firestarter orange is sold out? Too bad because that's the color I wanted. Maybe next time!

I was deciding between this and the Osprey Flare. This is pretty much the little brother to the Flare. The sizing difference is ever so slight. I ultimately went with the Axis.

The water bottle pocket in the Flare is maybe an inch deeper, but the Axis' is still plenty deep. My deciding factor tho was the Flare's outside mesh "shove-it" pocket would get prone to stretching and snagging over time and I didnt want to deal with that. It's already flimsy if you're not filling the bag up. Also not a feature I think I'd use too often. Hope this helps somebody who was debating between the two bags!

I have this bag for my daily work carry and it's great. Lightweight, a little on the smaller side but easily handles an engineering laptop & peripherals.
