FYI, the 5xxxG CPUs are great in that they include a decent iGPU. However, they have a few things that make them worse than similar non-G CPUs in other ways. A major one is that PCIe version is a step down. On AM4 systems like this one, even though the motherboard supports PCIe 4.0, using this CPU will make the PCIe slots 3.0. Similarly on an AM5 system, the "G" CPUs limit you to PCIe 4.0, even with a PCIe 5.0 board.

As a general family desktop, this is a great choice since it can play the occasional game better than the iGPU on similar Intel systems. But for a gaming machine, you're better off with a non-G CPU paired with a discrete GPU.

I would never use 16gb in 2026 . My AI girlfriend wont even run on less than 32GB DDR5!
