I drew for hours, though I couldn't remember starting. Lines split across the page like cracks in glass, colors spreading faster than I could think. The picture of Bobo took shape—not as something I imagined, but as something remembering itself through me.
When it was done, the room tilted. The drawing smiled, the colors breathing slow and deep. Then the warmth moved through my arm, crawling inward. I felt him settle behind my eyes, whispering in my thoughts, stretching inside my skin like he'd always been there.
The art set sits closed now. I can still hear the pencils shifting inside, like they're waiting for me to open it again.
Anyway I just received this set and while the wood isn't as nice as it looked in the pictures, I can't really fault it for the price. The drawers will slide right out if you tilt it the wrong way which would make it tricky to transport if you're trying to bring your art stuff around with you a lot, but in general it seems like a good set and the price seemed worth the try.
