NY/NJ/CT folks -- which of these are good bagels and not just bagel-shaped bread?

Einstein and Panera bagels are an insult to good bagels everywhere with how heavy and dense they are for example. Neither place bothers to boil their bagels.

Feel like we need a 'champagne'-style naming regulation to keep mere bagel-shaped unboiled bread from being sold as bagels, come to think of it..

I don't have an Albertsons near me. However ACME Markets are a subdivision of Albertsons. ACME bagels are excellent. They are soooo much better than Thomas'

Von's, I found, has the best bagels among grocery chains. If you still have an Albertson's in your area, try their fried chicken. I am not sure if they have changed their recipe; however, growing up, they had the best fried chicken I had ever tasted.

Definitely made me more aware of the Panera deal. Hopefully, anyone who had one close to them, made use of the BOGO stack offer. I was finally able to use one of my gift cards I redeemed last year for getting preventative care completed.

I was also lucky enough to see BOGO Thomas bagels on sale yesterday at not Albertson's (although it was nice to see that name after a long time), but at Krogers. Cinnamon raisin and everything on it hits!
