There's an Anker USB-C to Ethernet Adapter on sale at Woot for $10. Probably an older model, but still USB-C and gigabit.

I'd jump on these if they were 2.5Gbe. There's plenty of other docks with USB 3.0, HDMI and MicroSD card slots with gigabit Ethernet for under $15.

There are some issues with Anker 2.5Gbs USB-C adapter. If you read the 1 star review, you will see them. I ended return that one because I do not want to limit my Dell Laptop to use battery only while using this adapter.

Yes it would work on a desktop but it's a 1 gigabit adapter. You'll want/need 2.5Gbit to get faster Internet to your computer... assuming all your routers and switches also support 2.5Gbit.

yes, I understood I would want the faster version and the router has a 10gb port on it for Ethernet so I would assume it would handle this, It's kind of annoying watching my galaxy android pulling just under 2gb wireless while the pc is landlocked at 1gb because of the port limit, even the buiilt in wifi on the board does 1.75 but I need to replace the lost antennae for it with out it, is only pulling 500mb which isn't bad for no external input just the board and the nubs on the back to attach to

A decent 2.5 gigabit network card would be better than a USB adapter if you can install one of those into your computer. USB Ethernet adapters aren't known for their reliability. Anyway, most people don't really benefit much from that kind of Internet speed unless you're doing something different than most people. But of course the speed tests look cool.

yeah, I work from home with an Ai program that is very speed reliant for output, its a brave new world
