Your logic is flawed because there's games that came out 2017 and still hold it's value, mainly Mario and Nintendo games, it's just square enix games are always dropping, there's probably no point buying them at release or near release, just play backlogs for a year and it'll drop $20-$30 in value over time

Nope. Nintendo games never come down because Nintendo is an ahole that refuses to acknowledge their games are overpriced.
This game disappointed me tbh, big FF fan but this felt like a mobile game in comparison to say FF mainline. That's what it is, but got the impression it was more from reviews.
