This is a tough one for me. It is decent price but we are reaching the price point where I am borderline on the 8GB GPU thing. For $250-260 I am OK with an 8GB GPU. At $330, I am thinking about if I should spend more to get a card with more longevity or, alternatively, get something used.

For more money, you could get a 9060 XT 16GB. For about the same money, you could get a used RX 6800 XT. For less money you could get a used RTX 3080(Which would only have 10GB VRAM)

agree. This same gpu sold for $250 at Bestbuy just a couple weeks ago so I grabbed one as a backup, it sold out real quick. Picked up a new 5050 for $180 couple days before that as a backup as well. But yeah, wouldnt go over 250 for 8 gb but that will probably be considered cheap by spring / summer time..

Is it worth the extra 70$ to get this 5060ti ($330) instead of the gigabyte 5060 ($260)? Going to see better performance from the 5060 TI? Both are 8gb....or the 9060xt 8gb new ($330)

20%+ more power draw for less than 15% performance increase for 26% more cost. The 8gb Ti isn't really worth it unless it's closer to the same price as the 5060. As others mentioned, this was $250 for about 10 minutes, but that was probably a price mistake. I would just get the 5060 or spend a little more for the 16gb or a 5070

I would say no. I would get the 5060 for $260. The performance increase doesn't justify a 27% increase and cost.

I would, in most scenarios, take this 5060 Ti over the 9060 XT 8GB if they were both the same price. The only reason not to is if you have an older MB where you need the x16 slot of the 9060 XT.

no, because the 8gb will be your biggest bottleneck regardless of those cards

only the 5060 low profile is the only 8gb card worth buying

I'd avoid 8 gb cards. If you can stretch the bidget, go for a RX 9060 XT 16gb

Just curious, what is it about a low profile 5060 that makes it worthwhile (besides being designed for a sff build)?

it's the most powerful SSF GPU right now... so if you are going for a true SSF build it's the best option

otherwise pick something beter and with more VRAM
