Samsung also automatically "registers" your earbuds so the warranty is in effect as soon as you connect.
If these are indeed new damaged box only, genuine, and are US version with the warranty (2 years), can't see this being a bad idea.
One way to tell if it's fake, is if the automatic connection does not work. Once you open the case, it should start pairing automatically (at least on Galaxy phones). Another is that it should come with USB C to C cable.
EDIT: Just another tip/unsolicited advice - international versions would not register for warranty. And so you'd be dependent on this seller for warranty/service. I'm sure it's the US version, but if you find out it's international, on your Samsung account it shows as grayed out for service. I still think it's a good deal for $80. I have a pair that I paid more for, and while I think it's normal asking is overpriced, I enjoy the convenience features like the always listening commands, good quality calls, wireless charging, smart adaptive features etc. How do I know this? I bought Buds FE from Woot which were international edition, and while it was new, it is not eligible for warranty service in the US.

And so it is contradictory if it is new damaged i box, or repackaged therefore opened, or if the warranty they are referring to is Samsung, or VIPOUTLET, etc. In any case, $80 is a fair risk to take. Best wishes to everyone that got it before it became OOS

I've done the same with my Jabra Elite 10, same issue, purported great quality sound (ANC, Dolby Atmos, etc.) but it sounded terrible and wouldn't stay in my ears. Foam tips was a game changer, sounds almost as good as a over the head pair.
