The helmet is on the heavier side but brings solid protection. For the price this is definitely a slick deal.

Not a MIPS helmet. Bought one and returned it after trying it on, didn't feel "safe" enough.

Thanks, just bought one. I still have the original I bought long ago at full price. It's a helmet that fits my head, not much to it. A lot of people here in SF wear it as it's not ugly. A lot of people don't wear a helmet around town because of the look, so it's either a fashion helmet or no helmet.

Anything safety equipment that's being sold legally is certified and considered safe. You can totally go for the lower priced items and still feel secure. But of course, there are other helmets with better features for safety, MIPS especially.

I also bought one of these when it was nearly full price years ago. It's one of the more "cooler" and retro looking helmets, but it offers very limited protection. At best, it serves as a bump helmet for small twigs and branches that may bump you on trails, but I would feel doubtful about it protecting me if I fell on my head or so.

i got it in the mail today. every bike helmet looks stupid on me but i do like how this one looks on me more than the others i've owned. it somewhat feels like im about to go ride a horse instead of a bike though.
