Are these Lexar relabels, like the Gamestop Micro SD Express card are rumored to be?

Same Maxio MAP1602A controller and NAND flash by Longsys, which comprises the Lexar NM790.

Assuming it's an NM790 dupe then yes. But will likely have a shorter lifespan for to the quality of the memory modules. (Irrelevant for most users)

Edit: Actually the NM790 doesn't have DRAM. ChatGPT lied. 😞

The NM790 is DRAM-less.

Guys, stop buying these overpriced drives like you bought the toilet paper. You are buying at what could possibly be the peak price.

I agree with the sentiment but Micron just exited (and SK Hynix rumored to be next) the consumer memory and storage business to focus on data center demand which is driving consumer supply down and prices way up. We're not at peak pricing yet. Check out Gamers Nexus for some great investigative work on this AI datacenter chaos on consumer electronics.

When do you think the prices will go back to normal if Nvidia and amd literally publicly stated they are not focused on the consumer market any time soon?

This is a great deal given current circumstances and we'll look back on this price and consider it a steal in a year!

Tried to buy it but when I logged into my account it said it was unavailable.

Bummer.
