Sadly just yesterday it was announced that the FCC has granted Verizon waiver so as of today any purchases moving forward they will no longer have to adhere to the 60-day policy. And there was no restrictions at all as far as I could see I don't know if it's going to be 12 months concurrent or what.

But unless you plan on using visible or straight talk or whatever for 12 months these deals are basically dead in the water now. Or unless you plan on using them as a Wi-Fi only device which I suppose could be practical for these Motorola phones since they have headphone jacks and SD cards.

So I mean you could do worse than a Moto G stylus 2025 as a music player but. ... Just terrible he depressing anti-consumer news again from the current FCC

It's too late as of today Verizon no longer has to do the 60 day unlocking because they were giving away her from the current FCC. I mean I'm sure word will get around on these comments sections but I do wonder what's going to happen to edge cases people that bought a phone a week ago or two weeks ago or whatever. Anecdotally I can say my Moto G Stylus 2025 that I bought in November seems to have been automatically unlocked in the sense that when I switched my infamobile SIM card over it still works. So far anyway.

But boy I mean I bought that maybe 80 days ago. I don't know what happens to people that bought a phone a week ago or yesterday. I don't know if the grandfathering in of the 60 day is the date of purchase or the date of activation or the date of delivery.

The worst part is the FCC didn't give them any restrictions at all so far as I could tell in the judgment. It wasn't like 60 days isn't going to work but no more than 180 days or no more than 120 days. Just a complete placating to the telecom industry.

Just switch main cell service to Visible the phones work locked they sell same model. You can upgrade every year from straight talk phones.
Still gotta keep the service for a year though? I have no use for Visible

yes, any plan will work. Their cheapest plan is Bronze at $35. If you wait until the last week before your current plan expires, they will often text you a $10 discount.
Has anyone received discount offer for refill?

Thank you! I'll give that a try. I did a factory reset after the A16 upgrade and it looks like I was able to uninstall most of the bloat and disable the remainder. The phone seems super responsive now. Do you think there is anything appreciable to be gained by going any further?

I did not get any discount offers. So I activate Tracfone plans since they are cheaper.

Memory and storage recovery. Worth a shot just to check what's actually installed.

I have a $5.00 discount on my dashboard if I renew the same $45.00 plan. I have until the 13th and plan to switch to the $35 plan through Walmart. Their fees are cheaper.

Can't you just switch to the Bronze plan for $34/mo (with AutoPay)?

From an earlier post, ST fees are still more expensive & I only need one additional month before it unlocks.

I bought 2 phones. I can't seem to find a way to renew just 1 line and let the other line expire. Anyone managed to do that online?

Go to your account and Under "Manage Lines & Devices," select the line you want to renew and tap on "Devices." You'll see a button where it says "Detach Line." You'll be able to now have your lines separated from each other.

Thank you for saving me on wasting money on a renewal, now I can avoid using a crappy service on effective future ewaste. Too bad I didn't check the comments in time.

You could have waited for two more days and see if it would unlocked without paying for the second month's service - that was the old policy. 😊
is that actually working for anyone at this point?
