| Product Description: | The RYOBI 40V HP Brushless 21" Multi-Blade Push Mower delivers more power than a 170cc gas mower. The included (2) 40V 6Ah batteries provide up to 70 minutes of runtime ideal for 3/4 acre or less. Experience the industry's best 3-in-1 cutting performance with the CROSS CUT Multi-Blade System. This allows for less clumping when mulching, further & more even dispersal when side discharging, and when bagging the fine clippings fill from back to front to maximize space for less bag changes. The brushless motor and advanced electronics automatically react to mowing conditions by increasing the blade speed to eliminate bogging down and powering through the toughest cut. As part of our WHISPER SERIES, this mower is among our quietest range of products, engineered to be quieter than gas. It's equipped with a durable 21" deck that is lightweight, resists corrosion, and is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. When the job is done, the handles quickly and easily collapse for compact, vertical storage. Best of all, it is part of the 40V System - any 40V battery works with any 40V product. But given the bad reputation Ryobi has gotten (and seemingly deserves) for poor warranty service and battery failures, I don't think it's worth it at anything but a screaming hot price.
And as for personal experience, of two Ryobi pieces of equipment I've used –a 40V blower and a 40 V fan– both had issues in the first two months of light use. The trigger on the blower intermittently doesn't work (I haven't opened a warranty claim yet).
The fan just simply stopped working. And when I went to file a warranty claim, the website showed the warranty was already expired and wouldn't allow a claim…despite the warranty clearly saying something like three years on the box.
