It has been this price for a while. It is the new everyday price so it is not a "deal".

I use the Home Depot pump sprayer, it's been bomb proof. Having said that, this is facinating and if I can use the large reservoir of the HD pump spray, it would make this more versitile.

According to Ryobi the sprayer "is rated at 23 PSI" which is enough for most stains or you could thin it a bit. BUUUUUT.... Ryobi says it will not work with stain. I would give it a shot if you have a large project but it's a gamble or just try it and return it.

According to Ryobi you can do so with this $5 part. [homedepot.com]

I'm not sure it works with Model # FVSP51K? It's not on the spec list for this part?

You are right. It was not Ryobi that said that in the Q&A but someone said it will fit so I am not sure. Sorry about that.

edit: Ryobi stated there is no adapter for this sprayer which is incredibly dumb considering they all have quick connect adapters. Why wouldn't you make this sprayer use the same adapter as all your other spraying tools?!
Sorry for the double post.

Was about to buy this, but noticed there was a similar sprayer that used the usual 18V battery for only $20. Does anybody have any experience with this? I am hoping I could fill it with a carwash detergent.

That one is more of a mister. See a review here [youtube.com]. You can remove and fiddle with the nozzle to get the spray you prefer but any changes to the stream require nozzle removal and readjustment. The one in this deal allows you to just turn the front nozzle to dial-in the mist or spray like most other spray bottles.

Ryobi is building everything they can with batteries and a motor to see what sticks. I've bought several dead-end devices so check the reviews before you hit buy.
