1899 now actually. Microcenter has been increasing prices on almost all laptops by 100 to 200 dollars recently. Has a 1x1tb ssd compared to other laptops with 2tb ssds on microcenter though. The intel version (this one) does come with advanced optimus while the AMD one doesn't

(EDIT): Just noticed that the link version says refurbished and doesn't come with the oled, although it does come with the better Ultra 9 275HX CPU

Well, you overlooked a couple of points.
That laptop is not a new one but a Refurbished one and hence the reduced price.
That has the cheaper IPS panel with 100% sRGB coverage vs OLED one on this one with 0.2ms response time , HDR and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. In other worlds, there is ahuge quality difference.

Just be aware the intel CPU is a lot more power hungry than the AMD version. This doesn't matter in a desktop, but in a laptop the CPU and GPU share a total TDP. Basically you won't get as high of FPS in most titles with the intel version, but you do get the OLED screen so that's a plus.

You will get better framerate than any of the AMD Version available with Omen max 16. This laptop has enough thermal capacity to max out the 5080 to 170 watt during gaming, while providing around 60W to the CPU. Don't make up stuffs. Check any reviews and you'll see that. The Intel version with HX series processor of Omen Max is thicker and has higher thermal headroom. In best case scenario, the AMD Version with AI HX 375 can just match gaming performance of 255HX.
Has it occurred to you that the designers put better cooling when they put higher powered components inside it? Otherwise, every laptop with low end processor would perform better than their higher end CPU VERSION, with same graphics card, which is not the case.
Check any reviews and you'll find that out.
