Alright, this is where we need opinions.

What can we realistically see and how clear? Is this a decent deal?

It's a solid entry-level choice for $44, provided you manage your expectations regarding its capabilities. It excels at viewing the Moon's craters and can reveal bright planets like Jupiter (with its moons) and Saturn (as a small oval), though deep space objects will appear as faint, gray fuzzies rather than colorful images. While the optics are clear enough for these bright targets, the lightweight tripod is prone to wobbling (from what I read in reviews) when touched, and you might notice slight purple halos around very bright objects. While it won't provide Hubble-quality views, it is a functional telescope that lets you observe real astronomical features for a very affordable price.

If I wanted an ai prompt I would have just asked ai. I didn't want ai slop I wanted Slickdeals slop.

Legit I asked ai before posting and it gave the same slop you posted.. sigh. We're all doomed.

You're so right to question that, thanks for pointing that out. I made an error in my earlier response, and that's on me. I apologize for the oversight. If you can provide more details, I can give a more accurate answer.
