The Intel 255HX version is $1258 with the same coupon code and has the option of 1x16 GB RAM for and easier/less expensive upgrade.

16gb VRAM is minimum for me nowadays. Which means 5080 - for now.

Yeah. Intel version with OLED 1361 before tax. Doesn't suck. Jump to 5080 for 1716, which I would do.

Not bad at all. I'm within a return window for a 32gb ram / 5080 / ips laptop and the upgrade is tempting, upgraded cpu GPU ram screen for 700$ especially w ram prices going up, and laptop skus limiting themselves to 32gb ram and 5090 not available as easily.

TY op!

More powerful for sure but also not great on battery like the AMD. It's a trade off

It's also an insane power hog. Most people will be better off with the AMD CPU.

Good price. New AMD AI 400 Gorgon Point is just rebranded 300 series so this technically the same latest CPU & GPU.
Is the new Intel superior?

In every way? What about the NPU, power efficiency, and superior thermals of the AMD?

Isn't something like this a better value?

https://www.bestbuy.com/product/a...ku/6617666

It's $65 more expensive but comes with 32gb of ram and a 1tb hard drive?
I'm guessing you just completely glossed over the "Ti" part of this listing

Id HIGHLY recommend the screen upgrade for $60.

Otherwise rock solid pricing
which screen upgrade specifically? Is the RAM upgrade possible?
