I didn't even know they still made NiCad batteries. Hard pass.

Why the hard pass? Genuinely curious because I need some rechargeable batteries.

What are you talking about? Where are you getting your false information. These batteries are made of NiMH, not Ni-Cd. Just like Eneloop and LADDA.

That guys has no idea he's talking about. These are actually very good batteries made in Japan.

Details in the OP seem to incorrectly state it?

Unless you have a reason to "save money" (and accept the consequences of lower performance and reliability), just buy Eneloops. Yes, they're better.

Yes, Nickel Cadmium cells are still made.

These ARE NOT Nickel Cadmium cells. They are Nickel Metal Hydride.

Yes, that is a gross error, likely on amazon's part. Pretty common.

I copy the details directly from the originating site (Amazon, in this case), and as someone else mentioned, Amazon does indeed have "NiCAD" on the product listing details, but then in the features, they describe the batteries as "NiMH". So someone messed up the details! 😆

I went ahead and fixed the error in the OP, but Amazon will obviously still be wrong.

Aren't these from the same factory as Eneloops?

LOL, no. That "argument" has been proven false in personal testing. Fujitsu-branded cells are touted as "made in the same factory" as Eneloops. Well, in over a decade of using Eneloops, I haven't had a failed white Eneloop cell. The Fujitsus? Half are in the trash.

"Made in the same factory" =/= "same quality"

My Fujitsu and Amazon Basics Japanese ones are still going as my Eneloops.

Out of all the rechargeable batteries I bought over the last 15 years the Energizers went bad first. The Rayovacs that I bought first lasted longer than them. I have Eneloops branded Sanyo still going. Just sayin'
