Just bought this and I'm incredibly impressed. Didn't take too long to put together but demands two people I say. Please do research on how you attach the sled as people have destroyed the linear bearing and the instructions are buns.

It's gonna collect dust along with all the curl bars, weights and kettlebells that I bought from Walmart and Amazon. I hate Slickdeals. Lol

Good deal, but do most home gyms have enough plates to properly load a leg press? I feel that that would be the real cost here 😅

This was a FP back in late Dec so search the old post for more info. I just assembled mine yesterday, and it's excellent for the price. You can omit one weight-holding bar with no impact so it takes less space width-wise.

I think the issue with bumper plates is they are thicker than cast iron, so you can't get the max weight on the machine.

The staging in that photo is absolutely bonkers. Who is lifting heavy weights on tile? Is the new bougie trend to have a full gym in your austere hallway? What is happening?

Serious question but what's the benefit of leg press over just doing squats and/or deadlifts? I used one for rehabbing after my knee surgery but that was because of balance/safety concerns. Healthy person shouldn't need this..

As someone with a packed homegym, I wouldn't consider buying a standalone legpress unless it's a 2-in-1 hack squat as well

Bodybuilders use leg press for additional volume in addition to squats. Not a lot of people are comfortable taking squats to failure whereas you can a lot easier on a machine as well as you get the weight off your back and other muscles that will tire out before your quads do

Squats/Dead Lifts have much higher systemic fatigue, and usually there's a single point limiting the ability the rest of the body in the exercise. By focusing on specific body parts, you can grow them quicker and more safely. It also means you won't get as exhausted and will have a quicker recovery period.
