Seems like a pretty good deal. I liked Tello when I tried them, but that was back in the Sprint coverage days I think. They are T-Mobile coverage now, but a top benefit was their support quality iirc. Generally positive experience from me.

Yes, I agree. While there have been posts on SD lately complaining about customer service, all of my interactions with support have been great. I contacted them two weeks ago because I redeemed $20 in Tello dollars to a paygo balance last January, then they changed the referral program to make earning more difficult for the referrer. I complained that I never would have redeemed that much knowing about the plan changes and asked them to convert part of the balance back to Tello dollars. They responded within hours with a full refund of the order from almost a year prior and restored the $20 in Tello dollars, even though I had used about $3 of it. Since our line is on a $5/month plan, that will give me another four months of service!

Are you serious? How would it benefit me to lie about my customer service experience? Email attached.

Hotspot?

How are they when porting out ?

Their unlimited plan gets slowed at 50gbs, but their hotspot is an additional 10gigs that is a separate bucket, unaffected by that 50gb cap.

Porting in and out of the company is super simple. They try to automate as much as they can, and it is very simple.

Thanks for responding. The only thing that concerns me is their 10g hotspot limit

I'm not sure about switching before activation but it's very easy and free to switch to esim after.

I've tried a bunch of MVNOs and Tello is by far my favorite. Free esim swaps, port out info without talking to anyone, can port in your number after activation, and rollover minutes/data if you don't have an unlimited plan and manually renew.
Thank you!

Had zero issues with Tello when I was using them. I actually had better service in my neighborhood with them than I do now through Visible, but I came across a deal that was tough to pass up.

Would go back in a second if I had to.

How does it compare to Mint Mobile? Has anyone on Tello experienced problems with 5G service or internet connectivity on the Apple/Google Pixel 8+ phones?
I had a lot of outgoing dropped calls. Ppl telling me when calling, my phone calls went straight to voicemail. Rcs messages were not working. Internet was fine. More lte than 5g. With mint, had 5g everywhere and no phone issues.

Within how many days I shall activate the newly purchased eSim or pSim?
I'll get chance to port in my old number when activating?

Your 5G claim makes absolutely no sense. They're both using Tmo towers and even at the same priority level. There should be no difference.

This legit is a very confident misunderstanding lol. It's like saying economy and first class are the same flight cuz it's the same plane.

Upon checking out, I'll be charged $11.66 after tax.

So later on the six months, I'll be continued charge $11.66, or just plain $10?

I never said it was the same QCI as postpaid. It's the same QCI as Mint.

I'm not misunderstanding anything. You are and trying to confidently claim I'm wrong. They're both QCI 7. Everything that's not T-Mobile branded or Google Fi is QCI 7. That includes both Mint and Tello and every other MVNO on Tmo.

Anyone have any experience porting out of infimobile? When I ported out of Mint it was a hassle.

You are just regurgitating marketing mumble jumble. Mint clearly states that they are running on T-Mobiles network. Tello does not. I'm sharing my personal experience. You can't just tell me that there's no difference when I experienced the problems

QCI is the opposite of marketing... it's very hidden technical info that determines your priority. MVNOs that aren't owned by the parent network aren't allowed to name the carrier they operate on. Mint is owned by T-Mobile so they're allowed to. THAT'S marketing.
