Based on reviews, leather is synthetic and ratchet system breaks easily, if it even works at all. One reviewer was trapped in their pants after trying the belt for the first time since the buckle wouldn't release. Hard pass.

These things are posted constantly and makes it to home page but we don't get to hear real life experiences of SD members, but seeing how they are sold under 100 different names and that stores don't carry them, I assume they are going to work for a short time.

premium leather is not a leather grade. list the actual leather used. I assume Genuine which is just a thin top coat that will come apart after a few months

It worked on the smaller sizes (but will be more expensive still). The code took $11 off one of the $30 26"-36". So still 37% off if you want to pay a little more. Still a decent price.

You can cut these to shorter than 36". The ratchet part near the pointed end of the belt are the same for all 3 sizes, and the bigger waist ones get just get extra length of belt to fit (or cut off). Personally I prefer these 35mm (1-3/8") width synthetic leather (aka "pleather" plastic leather), even though I worked for a wholesaler for belts of all kinds a long time ago.

I have two of these. One is two years old. They both work great and still look new. I like the ratchet system.

I've been wearing mine for a year now, no problems at all and it really looks great. It shows up in a sleek "luxury" style box too which was kinda funny, but the quality is great for the price.

Looks like you cut it down to size if the belt is too long, deal is for a size that's too big for me but I'll see if I can trim it to fit

For what it's worth I bought 2 of these (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDXTHZJ9) in November and absolutely love them. I cut them to size and the material seems strong enough at least. The ratchet system is amazing and I haven't had any issues with either so far.

Why did it take so long to post this. I'm shocked that so many people are clueless on the defining feature of nearly all leather products. Is it actual leather?? The difference in lifespan is like 10x. I guess the general public has just not owned enough actual leather products. Even my 75 year old in laws argued with me that the peeling layers on their couch was genuine leather because it was advertised as 100% leather. Such a marketing scam that fools so many people. It's like the difference between matchbox cars cast metal and cnc'd titanium.

This section is about other brands: One of my good ratchet belts separated at the ratchet teeth part after several years, but I re-glued it, and it is fine again. Love my ratchet belts, but the first VBiger pair I bought had belts made out of "paper" (it seemed) I bought new Barry.Wang belt replacements shortly after buying the "paper" ones, because the buckles on the "paper" ones were top quality, and the original buckles and replacement belts are still great after many years.

This section is about this brand: I'm tempted to buy these, but I already have a brand new one of this brand that I haven't even used yet.
