Based on reviews, leather is synthetic and ratchet system breaks easily, if it even works at all. One reviewer was trapped in their pants after trying the belt for the first time since the buckle wouldn't release. Hard pass.

Do you know if the ratchet mechanism is metal or plastic? I was surprised to discover a key component was plastic on a ratchet belt from "mark fred" when it broke on me after 5-10 wears. I am wary of similarly cheap belts now but have no frame of reference to distinguish quality.

I bought my belt from this company back 10/22, worn it everyday. I can highly recommend this belt. Love how I can get a little tighter without having to jump entire holes per say.

3+ years DAILY use, never 1 issue.

Bought the pack today, no coupon issues.
