Are these better than https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/5579143761?

I'm eyeing the 370lb sets for deadlifting.

I wouldn't say better. If you prefer the colored plates then get those. Otherwise you can get this set and add a pair of 55lb bumpers when they go on sale again and get to 370 for less. There was a 55lb pair front page last week for $55 and again today for $65 (both sold out now, but seem to cycle frequently.) Thats only if you want 55lb plates. Otherwise you can easily get to 370 with other playe sizes for less.

Not sure if it's just that there are less reviews but there is 2 pictures of rubber breaking off these CAP ones. I'll need to double check the other one I linked but I don't believe I saw the same issue listed there. Maybe just a few one off people with bad luck?

I haven't heard of that but maybe possible if you are dropping them with a lot of weight? Not sure. This posts deal plus this one https://slickdeals.net/f/19088533-signature-fitness-2-olympic-bumper-plate-weight-plates-with-steel-hub-45lb-pair-59-99 would get you to 350lbs for $250

I might just grab 3 sets of those and use the rubber coated Walmart plates that I already own to add 25s and 10s that are to size (non bumpers) that should work okay right? I mean I'm mainly worried about my barbell but that's only 35 lbs on each side of rubber coated iron plates.

I would think so but don't take my word for it. As I said I don't drop weights so I can't say for certain.

I'm closing in on 10 years with my old CAP bumper plates and they're still intact. That said, I don't drop them from more than about five inches, and they're always used on gym pads, not on hard cement.

One thing I've noticed with bumper plates I've bought more recently—like Everyday Essentials and BalanceFrom—is that the branding and weight markings are no longer on raised molded rubber. Instead, they're printed into a flat surface, which doesn't really seem to make any real difference in durability or performance.
