Compared to the HP Omen Max deals this morning...
This is significantly lighter (4.19lbs) vs (5.92)
.65" thick vs .9" (front) .98" (rear)
32gb by default
1tb by default
CPU is the same as one of those ones, GPU is worse (significantly) .
Of course these are used though. Not sure about build quality or anything else.
I own a Legion 7i w 5070 115W undervolted to 80W and it's a power sipping beast. 30% lower power consumption with only ~5% fewer frames - not noticeable with current DLSS frame gen.
My only complaint is lack of OLED, but can't really complain at this price.
Losing 15w from that gives you like 94% of peak performance.

Since I cant find a video to compare the 5070s at those wattage's I got the next best things the 5060s and results should scale accordingly.

A lot of people saying the 5070 is pretty much the worst mobile card of all the cards in this generation...
In real world gaming get a little over 10%-15% more frames so doubting your 94% peak performance, not to mention this being 8GB makes this pretty dead on arrival for anyone who actually wants to use this for gaming first....

in the interim Jarrod has already tested with a graph:

But i can just make game testing explicitly for this with some side by sides. I already planned on doing hte 5080, 5070ti, and 5060 wattage scaling videos. ill add the ol reliable 5070 to it
I'm pretty happy with mine. No major issues, and everything works as it should. My lcd is ever so slightly crooked but it is really really slight. The keyboard is not as good as my older dell, or a lenovo but it's good enough to code on. Trackpad is good enough to be considered premium, but not amazing. Gaming is good, performance is good, thermals are good. I know it's 85 watt tdp but given it's a 4070, it ends up performing closer to a fully watted 4060 which isn't bad either. It's very very light (4.2 lbs). No bloatware, the bypassnro microsoft account trick works on this laptop. It has real ram slots, and two ssd slots. Keyboard backlight colors are single zone, nothing fancy. I'm pretty happy overall.
