Nice but I'm looking for some LEDs
Oh silly. This one will be brighter than your LED when it gets really really hot.

$580 but you need a microcenter

This 5070 deal ain't bad at all, especially considering it's Amazon and brand new.

12 GB is fine. 16 will be better 5 years from now but this should do the job till then.

Was thinking the same thing. Even at $600 I'd rather take the 16GB of VRAM

Except AMD will give up the 9070 3 years after release like they have gave up on the 6000 series.

Where can you find a 9070 XT for even $600 shipped to your door?

You're thinking of Nvidia, who historically abandons their old GPUs. AMD sorta does it once and now AMD is the worst for historical support? Nvidia glazers are the more oblivious.

Yeah noob question, so to do a new build, buying this would force me to AM5 meaning I have to get super expensive RAM correct?
Right now still on AM4 with a 2070 Super

If you are doing a current technology build then DDR5 RAM is probably what you will want and it is stupid expensive now. DIY build is likely going to be more expensive than a prebuilt but you it will depend on a combo deal you find for mobo/cpu/ram.

I bought a prebuilt skytech (was partial deal from here and after viewing it cap1shop sent an offer for CB that made the deal hard to pass up. My debate is whether I try to offload the 5070 that came with my PC and throw my 3090 in it or if I just keep the 5070 and offload the 3090. I do mostly game and work from the PC but I do some 3D modeling for 3D printing and the 12GB vram isn't much upgrade from my 3060ti in the computer I use (can't put 3090 in it because its a dell prebuilt from 2020). Decisions decisions

Unless I am missing something a number of stores are at the same price. Best Buy, B&H, and Newegg.

You could simply upgrade the video card and wait on the full system overhaul. Anything 5000 series on AM4 shouldn't bottleneck a 5070 too much (if at all).
