Amazing deal. Cracks me up that Gen Z has "rediscovered" tinned meat. Used to be for grampa back in the day as no one else would eat it!

not sure what gen i am .. im 56 years old.. but the sardines were much better in the 70's and 80's.
They now all seem to all have crunchy editable cartilage (backbone?).. Long ago unless you were eating the cheapest sardine available they did not have these crunchy parts.

I'm 61, and when I was a kid my mom regularly served us "salmon patties" made with canned salmon. I still eat it regularly to this day and love the crunchy bones! My wife thinks the bones are horrible and will only eat the boneless canned salmon.

I feel like sardines have always had soft bones present, but I didn't eat those as regularly. I would buy these lemon sardines, but canned salmon is much cheaper and tastes better to me. I get 14.75 oz. cans of Northern Catch salmon locally at Aldi's for about $3.35 per can.

you certainly brought back some memories with the salmon patties, we used to buy the pink salmon in the red can with the picture of the big salmon on it.. .
I enjoy going to aldis about twice a month.. im going to look for the one you suggested and give a try to relive a good memory.

mushy and coming from warm waters of Thailand or similar. Best are always from Portugal, Spain and Morocco. No comparison.

"Smoke flavor" again, may be just to increase chances of cancer. Definitely not healthy food.
