It drops like crazy. They should have dropped the price by end of 2025 so people can buy with 30% tax credit . They pump up at that point and now storm down

If they did not keep jumping the price from $1800/piece to $2000 i would have not it over the holiday . Too bad

Batteries only make sense if you're wanting off grid/down grid usability or your electricity provider has really, really, really, bad buyback rates.

In 2025 CA switched to wholesale buyback rates (previously it was ~retail), which does make batteries more attractive if you can produce a lot of solar.

When I was installing solar, we had customers in areas where they could charge batteries and power their house during high production then sell back over power during peak rates and make significant credits. They killed the peak usage buyback rates and only have peak usage rates.

When I got out of the business we would recommend 2 days of battery only for outages or add them to detached buildings/garages and run a closed system for vehicle charging.
