If you're going to dedicate this amount of floor space to equipment, I'd go with a pull up/dip/chair station instead to get more exercises out of that space.

I would agree something like a wall mounted pulley is vastly superior, and less space This isn't enough to get in shape or a great workout on its own and if you have any other equipment you likely don't need this. This is the equivalent to the shirt you buy on clearance and never wear.

Agree that most people would be better off with a Power Tower. I also note that the width of this is non-adjustable and quite wide at over 28". I suspect most people would be better off with narrower dip bars if they truly needed/wanted a dedicated stand for dips.

this type of dip station was the first item I bought back when I started a home gym in 2020. took up SO much space, and the home gym options have innovated a lot since then.

I agree with the others, for the footprint, a standalone or wall mounted pulleytower is the most versatile option, and allows you to scale with more attachments over time.

if your footprint can allow it, you can go for a functional trainer and attach a dip attachment to it, albiet it will have more initial cost, but I can't imagine anyone getting in shape with JUST dips.

also, with this kind of dip bar, I'm 6'2, and 185lbs, medium frame, these tend to be pretty wide grip which can render this useless or hard to use or even impact shoulder health for smaller framed individuals. I'd suggest a v shaped dip bar attachment.
