It's pretty good, considering what APC wants for a similar unit.
This is a pretty small UPS without advanced features though. It would work well with your cable modem and router or other small electronic devices. Many budget PCs have < 450w power supplies, as well. Plenty of PCs, particularly those with the bigger video cards, will probably benefit from a stronger UPS.
Compared vs better products...this one is not "line interactive". This feature will offer voltage regulation and power conditioning. Basically, absorbing less optimal power fluctuations and passing more consistent power to your devices. I also don't see a USB or Ethernet port for automated shutdowns of devices during an outage. Let's say you leave your computer on all the time but you are not home. When this battery goes out, the PC just dies without graceful shutdown. This can lead to data corruption.

Is this a good deal? Is 12 minutes a good number or not very useful?

Depends on what you put on it to be protected. That's at full load of devices (450w) to get up to 12mins runtime. I'm getting this to protect only my router which consumes ~7w so this should last about 10-12hrs.

What devices would allow your PC to shutdown "gracefully" when you're not there? I always wondered how that works. Let's say power goes out and you have one of these UPS backups, how does the PC shut down properly? Would it just lose power as the battery on this runs out? Is that more advantageous than the power being cut off from a power loss?

Yes, it's all about your use. This keeps my modem/router up till my electric comes back on 95% of the time. My pc sleeps, if it's not I do power it down. My chrome book keeps on truckin online for hours.

That's what I use units like this for. Ever since Active PFC + modified square wave became a questionable combination, and we stopped using our PCs to write term papers, I went with surge protection at the meter + more surge protection. I can handle running chkdsk / fsck.

My CYBERPOWER has a program for pc, it shuts it down based on my settings. I only use this one for spare room.

What surge protector/UPS would be good for an A/V Receiver? I have a panel surge protector already.

Usually the battery backup maker supplies an app to install on your PC that you use with a USB connection to the unit so when power goes out the unit signals the PC to shutdown. I have a Synology NAS that has a USB port that you use for this exact purpose and the software to shutdown the NAS is built into the Synology OS.

Would this be enough for an i7 PC with a 3060 Ti to prevent a power-off when my house generator kicks in?

My current UPS beeps constantly when power goes down, and buttons on it don't shut it up until either power is restored or the UPS is completely turned off. Does this suffer the same issue?

Depends for your use case. For me, it will work since the power goes off for a fews seconds maybe once every few months because of possible tree branch hitting a line somewhere or because of a storm.
