Lowes has creepy Flock cameras at many locations. I stopped shopping there specifically because of this shit.

Besides, these 27 gals are normally $8~ at Menards under a different brand

Explanation on the different variations:

Costco and Office Max/Depot:
--> "GreenMade" (by US Merchants). Will stack with Lowe's Commander. This style is slightly longer and not as tall as HDX Tough Totes.

Home Depot:
--> "HDX Tough Tote" (by Edge Plastics). Only properly* stacks with each other. This style is slightly taller in height, and is not as long, as the GreenMade/Commander ones. These will fit on 24" deep wire shelving shelving units, as the bottom lip edges on both ends fit within the edges of the shelf so they sit flush.
*While HDX may stack on a GreenMade/Commander, it won't work the other way around. Should be avoided for storing heavy items, as the weight concentration further away from the lip edge can cause the GreenMade/Commander lid to crack.

Lowe's:
--> "Commander" (made by Centrex). Will stack with GreenMade. This style is slightly longer and not as tall as HDX Tough Totes.

As far as which is best? It changes as the manufacturers make changes, so YouTube reviews from x years ago may no longer be relevant as the companies make unannounced tooling changes or design tweaks. Go with whichever one suits your needs the best. It seems currently, the GreenMade ones are "the best". We went with both HDX and Lowe's Commander due to pricing and availability at the time.

For putting on our 24" deep wire shelving units, we went with HDX ones. For storing various portable/foldable solar panels, we went with Commander since the extra length allowed the panels to fit, and we stacked the totes on dollies in the garage. We have various versions of the Commander tote going back 10+ years. The older ones are definitely more ridgid and the lid thicker, however the new ones are still very good. Haven't had any issues though.

The HD deal with red lids? The red lids are flip top and are very thin.

So does Home Depot.
Can't really blame them though.

I don't know who makes the Target ones (says stacks 2 high) and often on sale, $7 recently.
Seems sturdy but can't compare to the popular one above.

Dear Lowes - please put other sizes of totes up for sale sometimes. Especially the ones that nearly stack on these. Like the 5.0 and 16 gallon varieties. Kthxbye

Home Depot has 2 pack for 9.90 with better lids. Much better deal and value IMO. Wonder why anyone would choose these over those from 3 days ago.

Does anyone know how long this deal will last? I don't see anything in my Lowes Rewards tab about the deal or an expiration date. ...only shows it on the product page with no exp.

Good deal, $1 cheaper than Costco right now, but the lids on these are thinner, and the ridges that keep them stacked a little smaller
Would these not stack nicely with the Costco ones?

Can't enough of these. However, Staples $40 points deal was the way to go.

Disagree on the "much better lids" portion of that statement, and I say that as someone who bought 6 myself. The lids on the Home Depot deal won't do a great job at being compatible for stacking with heavy bins on top. That said, a lot of people won't need to put anything heavy on top of the bins. But just saying, the lids on these bins are much more suitable for stacking imo.

As an alternative option, these are stacked up in front of my local staples for $8.50 each. It's not showing on their website.

Probably already mentioned but 8 dollars is the "regular price" at sams club as well. Well, normal is 9 but they have had them -$1 for the past month or so.
