Bought what looks like this same model from Walmart and really liked the watch. Unfortunately after a couple weeks the indiglo light no longer works.

Not sure if it's an issue with the battery or is just broken. Otherwise I really like it.

I have a stockpile of three open-box Casio MW-240s, but I bought the Timex from Walmart with the plastic case, crown protector, and nylon band, because strap replacements for the Casios seems fiddly to me. And I did not really understand that there are different "Expedition Scouts" until I did some googling after the fact, but I think the crown protector model might be better about this, along with being less susceptible to the crown pulling all the way out of the watch.

I definitely appreciate that the Indiglo is there, but I'm only using it once a week or so, which I hope doesn't really put its durability to the test. The ticking doesn't bother me, but, oh boy, is it there. And it's lost many more seconds in a month than the Casio MRW200H I bought in 2018 ever did. I don't get the impression this will last 7 years, and then maybe the strap thing won't really matter.

I wore the markings off the plastic rotating dial on the MRW200H, but I think it may have protected the face of the watch way better than either the MW-240 or the Timex, where it is completely exposed.

not waterproof. have to take it off each time you wash your hands. and gets cloudy if you take a hot shower and leave the watch nearby.

Is that your personal experience with this watch, or did you see that in a review somewhere? Amazon product description says it's got a 50M waterproof rating, Walmart says 100M.

Thought this was funny... Walmart page (where the deal is still live) says price is:
Now $23.00
23.0 ยข/meter
Their AI decided we're getting 23-cents worth of waterproofing per meter. Smilie
