3600 mWh is 2400 mAh (multiply by voltage, 1.5)

Does anyone have experience with this type and brand? 3600mWh sounds a bit misleading hence questioning it (should be 2400mAh)

Not this product but pretty familiar with the brand. This brand used to be a major player in battery products back in my (Asian) country 20ish yrs ago. That logo immediately brought back some childhood memories!

Hmm. I prefer the ones with the USB slot parallel to the cylinder. I add a magnetic USB charge adapter so I can easily charge them, usually by just removing the battery cover and leaving the batteries in the device. This slot looks too close to the top, so the adapter would probably block the + terminal from making contact. I usually put these in my Quest 3 controllers.

I got COAST AA/AAA USB-C Rechargeable Lithium Batteries, 8-Count (Item: 1806248) for $19.99 after $6 discount at local Costco warehouse. 4 AA + 4 AAA, 2 storage cases in November.

So is the appeal with these that they more closely present 1.5v instead of more like 1.2v?

I would imagine that they would be able to charge significantly faster, too

As well as having no memory effect

Bummer though that they do end up having same mAh

I had bought Energizer recharge lithium's at Costco and returned them. Long time to charge and then pretty quick discharge.

I have an old Canon 5mp digital camera with a great/long optical lens. Back in the day (25+ years ago), it was state of the art but had a nasty problem as I would need three sets of four AA batteries to last a two hour event. Back then, there were no options other than standard rechargeables that performed worse and needed constant swapping out. Two sets of these probably would be the answer except for one reason. Today's phones take better photos. The camera remains on a shelf waiting for a return to duty that will never arrive. It sits with my wife's Minolta Maxim (film), which also is likely never to see action again...

I've only tried the Coast brand from Costco, I tried them in Govee bluetooth room thermometers (2x AAA), and compared to Eneloops that were sitting charged but unused for 1-2 years, both recharged before going in 2x different Govee units, the old Eneloops lasted longer. I don't really have anything else that would drain constantly, let alone 2x to compare side by side, but the Coast AAA might have had higher self discharge that added to faster drain. If so it seems like these rechargeable lithiums are better suited to things that would get frequent use (less time self discharging vs. actual use). I probably wouldn't use them in infrequent items like flashlights if I had Eneloops around (LSD NIMH still great tech). IIRC both the Coast and Eneloop AAA were 750mAh. I did get a lot of use out of the split cable for random small item charging though, so I didn't end up returning the Coast.

Since mWh is a measure of energy, it's probably a better comparison to multiple Ni-MH mAh by 1.2V. So a Eneloop 2100 mAh works out to be 2520mWh. Pretty significant.

Man, always on the fence with items like this. I definitely am a rechargeable battery guy, vast majority are NiMH. Looking for input - What are you guys using these in?

I'm finding it really tough to justify 3x the NiMH price, especially when about the only devices I can think of that seem extra sensitive to lower voltage are smoke detectors and these always tell you specifically don't use them in items like that. I have some other sensor type devices (ecobee + myQ) that get annoying at lower voltages but they're a button cell battery format. Most things also say don't bother using them in low drain devices like remotes due to the parasitic drain from the buck converter.

We have game controller like for the Meta Quest, these don't seem to have problems with the NiMH from my perspective (but kids are the ones using them 99% of the time), anyone seeing an actual difference in this use case? We have plenty of xmas decorations that use AA, twinkle lights, led lit wreathes, etc... These seem OK with NiMH - same question as before.
