I always wanted one of these for exactly zero purpose. I also live in a shoulder area in the South where it is either way too cold to car camp or too hot / humid you'd basically slow cook even at night. You get like 2 weeks a year where you wouldn't want to die in that situation.

That being said....should I order 1 or 2?

And no one bats an eye the hundreds of times per week a gas powered car bursts into flames. But the once a month it occurs on an EV the event requires a congressional hearing and every news station in the country reporting on it.
In china, the cities are so quiet because most are evs.

Wouldn't you have to take into consideration about local laws on sleeping in cars overnight, if that is your intention for getting this?
Stay off major roads where cell phone heroes like to call for this sort of shit and tint your windows

At most, my gas powered cars burst into flame once per week.

There is a lot of evidence that ICEVs burst into flame at a higher rate. The complicating factor is that there are a lot of older ICEVs on the road. As EVs age, there may possibly be a shift in these statistics. That said, my family has only ever had one fire, and it was a 1990s Pontiac sedan ICEV. We did have a Jaguar I-Pace that Jaguar bought back one year of US EVs (but no others worldwide) because of fire risks, but even then, only around ten ever caught on fire, all because of some LG issues. Those are some darn low risks, even lower than the overall EV population fire risk. It looks like Teslas are more of a safety issue, but only because their interior door latches are not obvious, and the windows of the cyberturd are impossibly thick.

Whatever the failure rate is, it needs to be measured in 'cases per' or by 'miles driven,' thus compared fairly. Not to mention, most of the EV fires I have antidotally heard about happened while at people's houses, so likely while charging. So could easily be a charger issue or installation issue relating to the charger. A lot of people will buy a $80,000 EV then self install a $300 charger purchased off Amazon. Fire starts at charger, spreads to EV....somehow (insert brand of electric vehicle)'s fault. The headline gets youtube clicks, that's all that really matters Wink

Both tech's have their pro's and con's but if I had to guess, per miles driven, both are equally likely to kill you, but in different ways. EV's do have less systems, moving parts, less fluid, thus less potential failure points. On the other hand the tech is newer (the implementation at least), so could be arguably less refined for the application.

As someone who goes to China a lot, you couldn't be more wrong. The mopeds, big trucks homemade lawnmower vehicles are quite loud. Most cars are still gas. The pollution is sickening.

My EVs are only more likely to kill me because they're so much faster than my ICEVs. Instant 400+ HP.

been there and won't go back to an air mattress. Memory foam of 4"-6" and you will stay cooler or warmer. I have a Honda Odyssey with rear seats out, 3rd row fold down and lots of room. If in colder weather, lay the yoga mat down for insulation. Works great. Perfect vehicle when it's too cold or rainy for the tent.

We have a model y and my wife is camped in it every summer at least twice for the last 5 years. And nice thing about electric cars is you can keep the climate on all night.

Flip it over and use the rubber side. Just spray and rinse with a ratio of 10:1 water and camping stove fuel.

A decent police officer would give you a pass. Barring you don't have any drugs or alcohol. Oh and your passport or birth certificate

And Norway and Iceland are quiet as well. Australia is producing so much energy from alternative methods it's lowering consumers electric bills.
