The 2.4G version of the controller is also available for $17.23 in black; but that one only works on PC, Genesis Mini, and Switch

Their functionality is so basic. What kind of changes do the updates include?

A lot, actually. Bluetooth latency, device compatibiliy, and charge curve to promote longevity all can play into controller firmware.

Hey, you seem to know a bit about these controllers & wanted to ask whether you know if there's any noticeable difference between the bt & 2.4g version aside from latency? I think the BT version has a feature to change the default key mapping on the hardware side - do you know if there's any other upgrades the BT has over the 2.4g one? I currently have the 2.4g working with the Switch 2 & was considering getting another one.

Interesting that the BT latency is negligible difference compared to 2.4g

Actually looks like there are 2 versions of 2.4ghz? One is much worse than BT.
