Those are crazy Black Friday pricing. I still think this is a nice deal considering you get all the features I mentioned and a pretty good 300 nits IPS screen. Low $300 laptops are often 250 nits probably not IPS and no backlit keyboard etc

That was after Black Friday. Also, $330 for 8GB soldered RAM wouldn't be much sensible.

No, this CPU has been at this price range for 4 years. And it's NEVER been the best option at this price range. It's a terrible CPU.
