Relatively new to 3D printing. These are cardboard spools. I don't have any spare plastic spools to transfer to filament to. I've read that many mfgs spools are edge glued so cardboard dust is nothing to be concerned with.

Can anyone confirm if ELEGOO cardboard spools are edge glued? Thanks.

I've used over 10 spools of Elegoo Rapid PETG that come with cardboard spools and I've had zero issues with printing. I'm using an Elegoo Centauri Carbon and so far everything has come out well.

My Elegoo PLA+ spools are edge glued, yep. But honestly not sure how much of an issue cardboard dust would be anyway.

Sorta. PLA Pro is supposed to be tougher or better finished, maybe. I can barely tell the difference.
Rapid PLA is designed specially to operate at different temperatures and speeds than regular PLA. It can print reliably much faster than regular PLA with the same results. All depends on what you want to print.
